Strategies for the Precision of the Educational Project

To attain the consolidation of the educational project in the heart of the Institution, it is necessary to develop the following lines of action:
I. Consistency with the Curriculums of the Institute. The Educational Project needs to be reflected in the various curricula of the careers taught at the Institute. In this regard the integration of the Generic Skills to the profiles of each career is relevant
II. Relevance of the structure of the Academic Vice-Rectory. The generation or strengthening of mechanisms within the Academic Vice-Rectory is necessary so they take charge of supporting and facilitating the development of the aims of the curriculum, so that they can re-direct the teaching-learning strategies in a timely manner.
III. Incorporation of Innovative Teaching Strategies. Innovation is required in teaching strategies if the development of generic and specific skills is desired in the careers. For skills development it is not possible to continue doing traditional classes, where the teacher expounds and the student absorbs all the program content passively, with little chance of taking a more active and critical role. Therefore, a collaborative learning strategy is adopted, which is complemented by learning techniques based on problems (APB) and project-based (POL).
IV. Consistency of Resources with the Education Project. The Virginio Gómez Professional Institute has made efforts in this regard, for example, modifying the classroom furniture, replacing individual chairs with round tables.
V. Teacher Improvement. A teacher improvement program in the use of collaborative learning techniques has been developed, specifically in APB and POL, TIC, planning, evaluation and rationale of the competency-based curriculum approach, with which a transformation of the axis of the class is expected,  shifting its center from the teacher to the student.
Given the above, The Virginio Gómez,Professional Institute, framed in a culture of quality, will permanently assess the organizational impact involving the formalization of the Educational Project, reformulating or transforming those policies, regulations or procedures that have to be modified to make of this Institute a superior, modern higher-education institution, efficient and oriented toward the excellence of educational processes.
